The success of your direct marketing campaign is dependent upon database quality, an attractive and timely offer and, importantly, the materials that you use. Prografix has prepared the following information to help you avoid the common mistakes that spoil many direct marketing campaigns.

- How do I wish to affix postage to the mailing?

- self adhesive envelopes are not suitable for automatic inserting - please consult our lettershop experts to see what envelope flaps are necessary for machine inserting
- envelopes under 75 gram may be difficult for automatic inserting
- envelopes for automatic inserting should be adequately wider: for example: C5 162 mm x 238 mm DL 114 mm x 229 mm
- remember to include the return address
- avoid PO box return addresses if possible as they lack credibility
- if another company than the sender handles returns, their address must be printed on the envelope
- Polish Post regulations specify that the address should be in the lower right hand corner of the envelope. Check with the Post first if you wish to send a non-standard mailing
- if you use priority or third class mail, the envelope must have this printed on it
- remember to add "teaser copy" to get the envelope opened
- if you are mailing a large item, check to see if it will fit into the standard Polish post box - otherwise your valuable clients may have to stand in line at the post office to receive your mailing

- 80 gram is preferred minimum weight of many lettershops for personalizing - if under 80m2, confirm with your vendor
- if the letter is to be personalized mailing with laser printing, make sure that the material is suitable for high temperature. If using coated paper consult with Prografix for additional information
- if you using a window envelope and will address the letter, you can personalize the body text to increase impact with a minimal amount of cost
- make sure that the letter fits into the smallest possible envelope to save weight and material costs
- if you have multi-personalized pieces, explore the possibility of using duplex personalization to save on material costs
- if you are using a window envelope, make sure that the longest address is visible
- when you proof read, underline each personalized field on the test print to catch mistakes
